A relaxation massage uses mainly Swedish techniques. It will relieve tense and tired muscles, soothe your mind and body and refresh your spirit. I like to use a few hot stones to help relax you. Clients have described their sessions as deeply nurturing and normally nod off!

A more therapeutic massage may use some deep tissue and hot stones. We need slightly more chat here as I need to check the pressure I use and the temperature of the stones if we use them.

A deep tissue massage is designed to access the deeper layers of muscles and does not mean masses of pain.

I may use hot stones at no extra charge during these sessions.

A pure hot stone massage is a real treat ( in winter, not so great in summer!). Over 60 natural stones are heated and either used with oil to glide over your body or carefully placed in key areas. The warm stones melt away tensions and soothe your tired and aching body - divine,

Manual Lymphatic drainage sounds painful! but it is the opposite! MLD is a gentle, rhythmic manual technique that stimulates tissue fluid movement. This helps ensure that cells have a clean environment. It also affects the nervous system, reducing pain, and may positively affect immune function. MLD has proven beneficial post-surgery and injury as it assists in swelling reduction in the area and may help with pain relief. It is also used as an effective treatment for disorders of the lymphatic system such as lymphoedema, lipoedema, venous ulcers etc. Several studies have also shown that chronic conditions such as fibromyalgia and CRPS may also benefit.
